Daniel’s Wedding Invitation
For this project, I was paired with a partner, Daniel, and tasked with designing a wedding invitation to his standards and style. This project allowed me to receive feedback from my “client” throughout the design process of the invitation. The process of creating the invitation included research, selecting typefaces and colors, iteration following feedback, and finalizing the project through mockups.

Process
Research
My process for this project began with gathering research about Daniel and the style that he desired for his wedding invitation. I referenced a Pinterest board that Daniel compiled as inspiration for the wedding invitation and made notes about specific motifs that appeared on his pins.
Type and Color
Once I had an idea of what Daniel was looking for in his invitation, I selected samples of fonts and created a color palette for Daniel to choose from.
Illustration
One of the main focal points of Daniel’s wedding invitation was an illustrated floral element. Many of Daniel’s inspiration pins included some sort of smaller bouquet with twig-like forms; I also searched through Pinterest and Unsplash for other references. For the final artwork, I went with solidly colored linework to make the illustration compatible with the minimal content of the invitation.
Iteration
Following rounds of feedback, I began on my iterations of Daniel’s wedding invitation. I began with two differently formatted layouts, each containing different aspects of what Daniel liked in his Pinterest board.

Finalization
When finalizing the wedding invitation, I adjusted small details such as color and made a mockup of the final invitation. I also decided to add a monogrammed front cover to the invitation to make it more personalized.
